myCampaignPro is proud to have DK New Media as a client and partner and we were recently asked to help them automate their email marketing program to coincide with the relaunch of their blog – the highly regarded Marketing Technology Blog.

A new blog design required a new email design as well. We helped not only with the redesign, but also by taking all the relevant information contained in their blog and organizing it for email distribution. The Marketing Technology Blog is built on the WordPress platform and almost all of their content is created within the WordPress content management system and redistributed elsewhere.

This is where we were able to help automate. Doug Karr (Prolific blogger, entrepreneur, and author) was tired of taking the content within his blog and manually creating each email and sending it. We were able to create specific RSS feeds from tagged wordpress content and then creating a dynamic way to read that information back into the email. By simply tagging posts he was creating in WordPress, Doug was now able to mark specific content for email distribution. The email was designed to read this information in and display it in a wide variety of formats (last five articles, favorited links, post length display, etc) even creating email exclusive content that wasn’t made accessible on the blog itself.

All that was left was to create a regular automated schedule that sent the email out to his list. We were able to set up a weekly send schedule that sent the email at the same time at the same day every week – reading in all the specific blog content without ever having to log into his email marketing program.

The result was a set-it-and-forget-it email marketing program where all Doug had to do was keep using WordPress exactly as he was used to. A great marriage of marketing, technology, and process designed together to create a fantastic email program that drastically saved time and increased ROI.

If you are interested you should check out the Marketing Tech Blog – they even highlighted the email program on the blog as well!

My Business Integrated needed a complete marketing presence established which included a new website, email marketing program, print materials, business cards, social media strategy, and integrated sales system in which to effectively track marketing and sales performance and invoice.

Since My Business Integrated was a new entity it required a complete marketing solution. We were able to establish a brand identity that was applied to all web and print materials establishing a robust and cohesive presence. We created a logo that effectively spoke to the audience that they were trying to target and established a look and feel that is very identifiable and easily associated with their target industry.

The website speaks effectively and concisely to each of the companies main areas of expertise and is easy to navigate and simple to understand and easy to manage. The design is carried over to business cards, statements of work, invoices, social media sites like twitter, facebook, and LinkedIn.

In addition, all content is re-published across these multiple channels which required cross integrating many of the technologies that were employed particularly Facebook, Twitter, the company blog, email marketing, web analytics, and search marketing.

And lastly, the back office processes needed to be established and integrated. The sales and marketing system to track and analyze marketing and sales performance, accounting systems, and support/ticketing systems were all put in place to build a robust back office solution that could handle the demands of the business as it grew.
